According to a news release over on shacknews (http://www.shacknews.com), Valve (http://www.valvesoftware.com) today announced that the anticipated post-apocalyptic RPG 'Fallout 3' is now available for pre-purchase on its PC digital distribution platform Steam.
Also available using Direct2Drive (http://www.direct2drive.com/) which is also a digital distribution system that many players are shifting over to!
The Steam version of Fallout 3 carries the same $49.99 price as the retail edition. Unlike Valve's Left 4 Dead, which is due November 18 and sis currently discounted by 10%, pre-purchasing Fallout 3 brings no price breaks or bonus incentives.
"Fallout 3 is one of the most important PC launches of 2008," said Valve president Gabe Newell. "With Fallout 3 added to the line up of great titles coming to Steam, this year promises to be an even better holiday season for Steam gamers."
