The folks over at IGN (http://pc.ign.com) have posted up information for Sporepedia (http://www.spore.com/sporepedia#qry=all) where you can start checking out some the imaginative creature designs. Lets check out the news:
Maxis has launched the Sporepedia, the online database for Spore that allows players to upload and share their created creatures with the game's community. The site has also undergone a redesign. The upcoming Spore (http://www.spore.com/) is a unique create-your-own-species simulation from the mind of famed designer Will Wright, who brought us SimCity and The Sims. Players use the game's creature creator to design their own life forms and evolve them through multiple stages of development, each stage encompassing a unique gameplay mechanic.
Players eager to create characters and upload them through the Sporepedia will have to wait a little longer. While the full retail version of Spore is set for a September 7 release date in the US, the Spore Creature Creator will debut on June 17 in two forms. Players can purchase the complete Creature Creator for $9.95 or download a free demo version with about a quarter of the final content.
