According to IGN (http://pc.ign.com) PC news there have been over one million life-forms created through Spore's Creature Creator. Pretty good considering the Spore (http://www.Spore.com) Creature Creator recently released last week on June 17. Lets check out the article:
There are now over one million user-created creatures on Sporepedia, Spore's online creature database. The count is currently at 1,023,384, this is impressive considering the Spore Creature Creator recently released last week on June 17.
The initial launch of the game was definitely the busiest. Players created 250,000 creatures within two days. According to a Spore press release, two creatures were being submitted every second and at one point, 1,000 little monsters were uploaded in a single minute.
While the full version of Spore is set for a September 7, release date and encompasses many different gameplay mechanics, publisher Electronic Arts decided to release the Spore Creature Creator for $9.99 along with a free demo that includes about a quarter of the retail version's content. With the Creature Creator in hand, players designed many life-forms only previously imaginable.
The unique evolution simulator comes from the mind of Will Wright, the original designer of The Sims and SimCity.
