Within a few more hours, the public beta version of Quake Live (formerly known as Quake Zero) is going to be made available. Completely financed by in-game advertising, Quake Live is a free first-person shooter game, based on the popular Quake III Arena from id Software - playable through your browser (we recommend FireFox (http://www.firefox.com)). It is targeting mainly multiplayers, while the underlying game engine is id Tech 3. Expect the download to be about roughly 200 MB in size.
