It would appear as if Activision wishes to drop the "Call of Duty" title for the upcoming Modern Warfare 2 game due to release this November. Check it out:

Activision today announced at the GDC in San Francisco, USA that the new Call of Duty only Modern Warfare 2 'is called. This is the official title of the game. After all the hassle to the title Bioshock Activision keeps it clear to the right immediately to confirm.
