It would appear GameSpot (http://www.Gamespot.com) has reported that Activision drops us details (http://www.gamespot.com/news/6193932.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=newstop&tag=newstop;title;4) on the highly anticipated game Wolfenstein, developed by Raven Software (http://www.ravensoft.com/). Its a follow-up to seminal id Software FPS to be a story-driven shooter with conventional and supernatural weapons. Lets check it out:
Today, id once again returns as a newsmaker, as Activision has released new details on the developer's revival of its classic Wolfenstein franchise. First teased by id CEO Todd Hollenshead way back in February 2006, the tentatively titled Return to Castle Wolfenstein once again drops players into the role of all-American hero BJ Blazkowicz as he wages a one-man war on the supernatural sect within Nazi Germany's Third Reich.
Activision offered scant few details on gameplay mechanics for the upcoming title. However, the publisher did note that Wolfenstein will be a story-driven shooter that will be presented over the course of interlinked missions. The publisher also noted Wolfenstein will offer "class-based team objective gameplay," and online gamers will be afforded both conventional and supernatural weaponry.
As revealed in the latest issue of Game Informer, id Software has outsourced development to Raven Software. Most recently, Raven partnered with id on development of Quake 4, released for the Xbox 360, PC, and Mac in 2005. Wolfenstein is currently slated to arrive on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
